Powerforce are absolutely delighted to have been recognised, once again, as home to FMBE Team of the Year. This is the third consecutive year that Powerforce has won the coveted award, this time for our Pladis field team.

The award showcases the fantastic teamwork and close working practices between the BDE field team and all of the support functions at Powerforce Head Office. Since the TUPE transfer Powerforce has worked tirelessly to improve the performance of the team. From the outset it was important that engagement with the team was increased, especially where morale was low.

With all of our teams, we feel that it is really important to listen to our people. To create this culture of listening with the new team, they were asked to feedback their concerns and share ideas about their work and the future strategic direction. Part of this feedback was used to put into practice a new planning process, any new ways of working, designed to give BDEs more autonomy. Other measures taken included creating more transparent communication and stronger working partnerships between the internal and external Pladis sales teams.

We also worked hard to ensure our people had the tools needed to be effective in their roles. This included instigating a new, more engaging, more intuitive data capture system, which was combined with targeted sales data and insight directly from a third party data agency. This allowed BDEs to focus their efforts on driving the best possible result in each call. To further strengthen our field approach, all BDEs went through our comprehensive GEARs training so that they fully understood which levers to pull in which stores.

Finally it was important to strengthen the partnership between the Powerforce team and the internal functions at Pladis. This close working partnership has resulted in greater transparency and more effective insight sharing ensuring the field team are a direct extension of their business.
